What is Magnetic Fishing?

So you want to Hunt for Treasure? Well then this exciting, yet inexpensive hobby is just for you!! ‘Magnetic Fishing’ or ‘Magnet Fishing’ is simply using a very strong magnet, often called a neodymium magnet, to find metal objects in different bodies of water. It is that simple!

Some great places to go Magnetic Fishing:

Piers & Docks
Bridges & Boat Ramps
Swimming Holes
City canals & waterways

Really, any body of water where people might have lost things!

What do you need?

Whether on Amazon or other online sites finding what you need to start Magnetic Fishing is pretty easy and inexpensive. You can either buy a kit or the individual pieces. Either way, at a minimum you will need:

Neodymium Magnet
Strong Rope
Threadlocker
Gloves (This is a must!!!)

But we also encourage you to bring:

First-aid Kit
Knife
Hat & Sunscreen
Water Bottle
